Social Media Marketing for Conklin Contractors

I have been marketing on social media for years now, with great success!
It has really kicked in the past few years, after the launch (2008) of my website that my Team of contractors and I put together, along with a blog site that we started in (2010). Having these things in place for marketing on social media has been the biggest key to my success. With all this in place, I started by sharing value to my followers on social media, NOT spamming them with junk. By sharing roofing and roof coating info from my blog site and driving traffic to the website the search engines (SEO) has kicked in to help get the website found when customers or prospects are searching the internet for info.


I have learned a lot over the years and ready to help others!

The summer of 2013 I saw a need from talking with a couple Conklin contractors to open up my website to help other Conklin IBOs (contractors) that didn't have a website, or know how to build one. After seeing what some of you were or weren't doing correctly or at all on social media to market, I decided to offer the website to other Conklin contractors to have access to and to be listed on the website to get roofing leads.
In the past couple years I have been getting roof leads from all across the U S, this is what helped me to decide to see about letting other Conklin contractors join the website also.

So I put together an idea and put it into action last fall (2013)! I had 2 Conklin IBOs see the opportunity that joined right away and have seen great results from the website! (watch the video below to read their results) Along with their learning how to market on social media the proper way.

I will be limiting the number of contractors in an area, so DON'T wait to join!

Install Conklin foam and coatings on flat roofs

Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) roofing systems are growing in demand due to their "green" energy-saving properties. The coatings which are sprayed over the spray-in-place foam insulation system are VOC compliant, durable, energy efficient, economical, and weatherproof to protect a new or existing building for years to come.

SPF chemically bonds itself to the existing roof surface, so no tear-off is required (saving you money, time and the environment). SPF is extremely light, adding very little weight load to the building. It provides a seamless, water-tight design that withstands the toughest weather conditions and harshest temperature extremes. Foam and coating systems can be applied over built-up, single-ply, modified bitumen, metal, and other roof systems.

Before the foam can be applied, the roof must be cleared of dirt and debris, and all wet, moist or damaged and ponding water areas are repaired. Then the foam is sprayed on the roof to the specified thickness before the base coat is applied. Finally, the white reflective top coat is applied.

If a color other than white is desired, a show-coat can be applied as well. A variety of warranty options are available (up to 10 years) as well.

Roofing contractors - capitalize on the increasing demand for roof coatings

The demand for cool roofing (including roof coatings) is at an all-time high. Driven by national initiatives such as the Energy Star program from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and various local efforts such as the California Energy Commission's Title 24 program, organizations are demanding that roofs do more than simply keep out water - they want rooftops to stay cool to reduce energy consumption. Government initiatives, tax incentives, and state and utility rebates are supporting this effort.

For years, building and facilities managers have specified white elastomeric roof coatings like those made by Conklin to protect roofs. White roofing solutions have grown exponentially in popularity over the last decade, with growth driven by the energy benefit that higher degrees of reflectivity can provide in specific environments, as well as the lower cost, faster installation schedule and high profitability benefits for the contractors trained to install them.

Studies by Oak Ridge National Laboratories and Lawrence Berkley National Laboratories have validated that in regions of high ambient temperatures with high solar irradiance, highly reflective coatings provide significant energy savings as a result of their cooling effect. These savings occur mostly during peak temperature conditions and when utilities charge peak fees.

In many regions of the country, using a reflective surface in the form of a roof coating can reduce the energy cost for a specific facility. But managers need to understand that many factors in addition to rooftop reflectance go in to a building's energy efficiency. Managers also must be careful when selecting a product - in regions without high temperatures and high solar irradiance, a coating's reflectivity might not even be a benefit, though its overall performance in protecting the roof from weather is always a benefit. 

It is quite simple to evaluate the potential savings of a reflective coating. Numerous online calculators describe the potential energy savings of a reflective roof. The most popular calculator for roof energy savings is the U.S. Department of Energy's Roof Savings Calculator. This tool allows managers to compare the current roof with the benefits of a coated roof by plugging in building information, along with the reflectivity and emissivity factors of the proposed coatings.
